5 red orbs form triangle shape above barn then change formation into a line.

My son noticed the three red cylindrically-shaped balls/orbs at 9:10 pm across the road hovering in a triangle formation above the neighbors barn they were so low the barn was glowing and a fourth ball/orb appeared. He ran in the house to have my husband and myself see them. I watched them go into a singularly path that angled, they made no sound or noise. All were independent of each other I went to get the camera, my camera would not work, every time I tried it would not work. The stayed in a line and started to change from red to orange and finally to a pale yellow and disappeared. They did not take off or shoot away the vanished. About 5 mintues later as we were still looking a fifth red ball/orb appeared alone just hovering again very low just above the trees, this one you could see a ring of lights which we assume was the underside, it also turned to an orange to pale yellow and was gone.
All three of us were stunned and could not believe what we had just watched, the camera wold not work during the time they were there and the camera worked fine after.

Satellite does u-turn, then shoots off at angle and disappears

A friend and I were watching the Detroit Freedom Festival Fireworks in 1988. This took place on June 30th and lasted about 35minutes, starting at 10:06pm (source: http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-6799573.html).

We were parked on a stretch of road in Auburn Hills that offers a view of downtown Detroit approx 20-25 miles in the distance. There were maybe a dozen other cars parked there to watch. Unfortunately it was just too far to really enjoy it. My friend got bored and started looking skyward at the cloudless, starry sky. He pointed out a satellite passing by from west to east. The satellite was directly overhead and unmistakable – no flashing, solid white point moving across the sky at an altitude that could have been a low earth orbit. After watching it only a few seconds, it did a U-Turn without any change in velocity, and started heading back west. After only a couple of seconds heading back west it shot off in a SE direction (aprox a 120 degree change of direction) and disappeared in an instant.

My friend and I looked at each other and confirmed that we just saw the same thing. We were both very knowledgable in science (I was studying Physics at the time) and we knew what we saw was not within the realm of possibility as we were familiar with it. We were both calm, and we didn’t draw any attention to ourselves. As far as we knew, nobody else saw it as they were fixated on downtown Detroit. About 15-20 minutes later I brought it up to my friend. By that time his rational, scientific mind had convinced him that he did not see what we thought we saw. Mine probably would have too, had my friend not seen what I had just seen and confirmed it at the time of the sighting.

over sevral days multiple star like objects moving in various directions and speeds. a dark grey triangular object seen on one occasion.

My wife and i first noticed the lights at home on 8/31/2011. At first we just saw what we thought was a meteor until it suddenly made a change in direction. At that point we started watching more closely. That night we saw several more star like lights move quickly in one direction then move in various random directions. We have watched the skies all but one night since the initial sighting, seeing objects each time 4 days in a row. We have witnessed the lights in a v formation, flashing randomly, and on one occasion a dark triangular shaped object passed over head into the distance. Each time the objects fade out of view quickly but occur with regularity. In all we’ve seen more than a dozen different objects at different times and counting.

see though with alternating lights of red and blue and main yellow light

The night of friday, and saturday morning at 2am my sister in law calls me out side to take a look at some strange lights naturally she is kinda skittish and it was late so she went inside, as I left my apartment complex I kept my eye on the light which as i looked around i could tell there was alot more than one but they were all at some distance unlike the one i was first looking at. It seemed to come closer then move further away almost beckoning me to move closer i wasnt scared but i still wasnt sure what I was looking at cause i could see the light but nothing else i walked on a patch of grass behind the barber shop and was looking above me where the light had made its way. It seems as though a light detached itself from the main body before it put its spotlight on me which was barley decernable from the moon light cause i looked on the ground around me and didnt see it. Before the light was in my eyes i saw a cloud press agianst the hull and for a split second the outline of the ship was visible. At first it seemed like the stars were slowly spining but it seems that it was cloaked predator style. There wasnt much thinking or feeling I just stared kinda in wonder but i didnt think much honestly after that it began to head north north west towards the lake close to my home town i followed it as it was leaving and when i stopped to turn around and go home it seemed to stop and flash so i continued till it daybreak when it just kept on going and abruptly the light faded and i could no longer see it. One strange change is that I am getting nodules in clusters below the skin, so far 3 of them and it seems as more are on there way I’ll going to the hospital in the next day or two to get a opinion on this.

Satellite/meteor with a bright orange light and slight direction change.

A single bright orange light that appeared significantly brighter than a star. Approached from the SW and departed toward the north. Appeared to go out of view like a satellite. Too bright/to late at night to be a reflection off of a satellite due to sunlight reflection.

Looked like the object had a bright center with an orange plume that was pointing toward 2 o clock when approaching from SW. Plume was oriented upward when directly overhead. Size of elliptical like plume was larger that the bright center but no larger than the nail on my pinky finger.

Estimatation of the brightness would be initially equal or slightly brighter than the moon. Initially looked too bright for a meteor, too slow for a large meteor/fireball. When it left toward the north, as bright as an aircraft with landing lights on. With the very light scattered fog, appeared to illuminate a small portion of the sky at moments.

First impression was that it was an aircraft on fire as the brightness seemed to be varying while being continuously visible. Second impression was that it was an upper stage performing an orbital trajectory change.

Video shows light going toward the north after I pulled off the road. Color in the video appears to be off.

Two sequential sightings of identical flight coarse characteristics: 1st elongated oval shape white; 2nd event star-like.

On November 6, 2011 in the city of Maricopa around 5:34 PM, I was at my brother’s house in his porch area located at his backyard sitting in a chair and conversing with my 2 brothers. While we were talking to each other, one of my brother unexpectedly and expressively hollers out, “There a white light in the sky!”… which at the same time he was pointing towards it in the direction where the object was traversing in the sky. I quickly turned around to see the object that my brother was observing which was located in the sky between east and southeast in direction. It was slowly traversing southeast at a high altitude like it was heading towards Tucson. I quickly realized that it didn’t appeared to be a plane nor jet flying. So I rushed inside into my brother’s house and grabbed my camera, then I quickly hurried back outside and rapidly started taking pictures of the object that was traversing. After the third picture I took, I quickly previewed it via the camera. It didn’t look like a plane, jet, or balloon, so I continued taking more pictures of the object which was slowly traversing southeast. The object appeared to be 1 to 2 miles away from our location, and it appeared to be at a standard altitude which commercial jet are normally seen. The object appeared small in size; smaller than an aspirin if that was to be held away from me at arms length. The object appeared to be an elongated, soft but pure white color object that was bright but not brilliant bright about the size a commercial jet fuselage for that distant superimposed horizontally in the sky. The object didn’t appeared to be constituted of light but rather just white in color like a cool white, elongated oval but slightly bulging, florescent lamp shape which also had a rough surface texture appearances and smoothly rounded like a cone at each end. It was very slowly traversing across the sky going southeast slower than a typical commercial jet flying. No navigation lights were seen such as strobe lights or green/red navigation lights. The lighting remain constant which no flickering of lighting was observed, and no contrail were observed with the eyes including via the camera lens. While observing the object and from my perspectives, it appeared to be making a wide sweeping coarse change while maintaining a general southeast heading. There was clouds in the sky, and the object appeared to be traversing in-and-out of the clouds while traversing in a mono-direction and maintaining a horizontal flight. The last sighting of the object was when it was near the horizon and inside a cloud bank formation at the far distant. The color of the object at its farthest distant appeared to be orange in color. When the white color was seen when it was nearest our location, it appeared to be (in my opinion) too bright white in color for the available lighting condition.

Then at 6:03 PM while both of my brothers and I were still in the back porch area conversing with each other, again my brother abruptly yells out very excitedly, “There’s a bright light that just instantly appeared in sky!” So I quickly turned around and observed in the same general area of the first sighting a star-like object traversing an identical coarse of the first event sighting. This object was at the same altitude, speed, and distant of the first event sighting but different in lighting: the lighting was not the same nor white in color but an arc-welding type color bathe in brilliant light; and it also appeared from my perceptiveness also something similar to a contained miniature sparkler. The planet Jupiter was seen to the left side in the sky, but the object was not brighter nor bigger than Jupiter. Another planet, possibly Venus, was seen near the area where the sun had set recently. The object was not brighter nor bigger than Venus. My younger brother while he was observing the object only with his eyes made vocally a generalized comment while observing it that the object appeared to his perception to be zigzagging while it was traversing southeast in the sky. As the object traversed southeast, the lighting began to diminish with distant thereby making it extremely difficult to observe the object as it traverse further in the distant. It also appeared to my perception to be orange in color when it was in a far distant yet that color was not seen when it was first observed closer to our location. The object eventually was no longer seen when it traversed near the distant horizon and into a cloud.

No aircraft were seen during both of the sighting event. However shortly thereafter the second sighting event, a helicopter and smaller types of planes were observed flying around in the distant sky, and they were flying around like in a searching pattern in the same general area where both objects were seen traversing through earlier. A total of three people observed the unidentified flying objects. In the first sighting, there was plenty of twilight in the sky which distant things like clouds and houses were easily seen without any difficulties. The second sighting was much darker in twilight and distant things such as clouds and houses were still easily seen yet somewhat darken in lighting features due to the deficiency of available ambient lighting. At both sighting event when first observed, the object was located in the sky about 40 to 45 degrees off the horizon. Last angle degree that both object were observed traversing was about 20 degrees off the horizon. There was no apparent wind blowing or observed during the sightings. Temperature outside was about 75 degrees F. No sound were heard during either event sightings.
I took a few pictures of Jupiter and Venus, and those pictures shows them putting out extreme amounts of light. In the 2nd event sighting which looked star-like, the lighting output captured on camera was not even close to being the same in lighting intensity of those planets yet the object looked star-like while it traversed.

Slow moving completely silent craft, with undistinguishable size and shape. Varying light patterns and colors, inconsistent with modern aircraft regulation, passing almost directly overhead.

It was an unusually clear night without a cloud in the sky around. Even the smells from the pastures and farms around my home were more pungent than I had ever noticed before. While taking my dog outside at around 10PM EST, I heard unusual buzzing/humming noises behind the distant tree line to the North, though having an indiscernible point of reference. The sound was unlike anything I would knowingly recognize (e.g. commercial/private plane, ultralight plane, motorcycle, ATV, etc.) The noise faded and, while I still stared in the general direction, a light source began to emerge as if rising up from behind the tree line, seeming to be an aircraft gaining altitude and moving closer.

As the light source rose in elevation, it then moved distinctly upward and left from my viewpoint. At first I viewed it as a plane turning and climbing in altitude, yet it rose as rapidly as any aircraft I am aware of could have. It then seemed to fall back (or circle) into the same path line that I had seen it initially rise. The exact way it moved is difficult to describe; almost as if redirecting from its initially intended change in course of moving upward and left from my perspective,(with the initial course as rising above the tree line toward my general direction) to heading back in the general direction of the point I was viewing from. Yet it made this course change with no marked path of redirection, as would be seen viewing any conventional aircraft; by which I mean no banked turn motion or circular turn path.

The light source was moving at such a slow pace I felt I had enough time to run inside and get my father to come out to view it, which I did. Running back outside after yelling to my father I found the craft continuing on the same path in my general direction. My father came to my side and I simply told him to look in the direction from which the light source was approaching. He acknowledged the craft, but began to watch silently, almost with confusion. This was the same reaction I was experiencing.

As it moved closer it became clear there were multiple lights, some pulsating inconsistently as well as emitting different colors. The colors ranged from yellow to orange to red and even blue, though the changes were almost instantaneous or unperceivable. The lights would pulse/blink in varying patterns as well, sometimes seemingly similar to the way roadwork arrow sign lights move when indicating direction. To both of us there was no distinguishable shape to whatever craft was emitting the lights, and to me it seemed to have an aura or rather a dark ‘shadow’ surrounding. While my father and I intermittently muttered back and forth about what we were seeing, I noted that there were no true ‘strobe’ lights coming from the source as there are on any regulated aircraft. He agreed but stated, “What gets me is that it isn’t making any noise, no noise at all.”

I hadn’t even thought about that at first, possibly due to being sensory overloaded visually, but he was right. The craft, which at this point seemed almost directly overhead (some 75-85 degrees above the horizon) made no sound. No sound even after passing our position as a modern jet would have. At this point I did notice the sounds around our position. Every dog, or at least it seemed every dog within my hearing distance, was going absolutely berserk, barking. I had completely forgotten about my own dog and realized that she was, as best I can describe, ‘nervously pacing’ back and forth in our driveway while whimpering.

After its passing of our position my father and I watched as the lights and patterns became less visible in the night sky until we lost sight completely due to the hilly terrain. The entire experience probably only lasted around five minutes, but it affected me in a way I cannot explain. In recollection, it seemed so low and so slow moving. Yet nothing about the craft’s altitude, shape, or speed was definitive. I wish I knew what we saw. The only absolute thing I can say is that I do not know what it was. I’m not saying I saw aliens in a distinctly shaped craft with definable attributes, but I, along with my father, most certainly viewed an unidentifiable flying object. I will most likely never again look at anything in the night sky without skepticism.

Dark boomerang object with about 15-20 white lights in front

First off let me say I am 46 years old and have served in the Navy back in the 80′s ad 90′s as an F-14 mechanic. I have been exposed to just about every type of military aircraft and their general capabilities. I am also a Cessna private pilot. With that being said what I observed tonight while sitting on my back patio went against every type of known aircraft I have been exposed to including any on TV.

At 2037 hours (8:37PM) I was smoking a cigarette on my back patio sitting in my chair facing directly west. Out of the corner of my right eye I caught a movement and turned my head to the right and saw what initially appeared to me to be a flock of birds glowing pure white flying due south. About 2 seconds after my initial observation I thought to myself wait a minute, its nighttime and birds don’t glow in the dark.

I then realized what I was observing was some sort of aircraft that was in the shape of a boomerang that had on the front leading edges of the aircraft approximatley 15-20 white lights from wing tip to wing tip including the center. At that time it was now directly in front of me traveling in a due south course following highway 347 almost to the center of my town. I live in a small town. I estimate based on my military and private pilot experience it was traveling around 500 knots. It passed to my left and I was not able to observe any red or green anti-collision lights or the required white tail light.

In my experience I knew a military type aircraft flying at this speed would have some tailtale sign of emmission from the tailpipes and none was observed. I was approximately 1/4 to no more then 1/2 mile from this object that appeared to be the size of a standard size house I estimate its altitude to have been around 1,000-1,500 feet. It made zero sound. When it was in my center field of vision I could see clearly it was a boomerang shaped aircraft that had a very dark skin color that caused it to contrast with the night sky and allow its shape to be easily seen as it flew by.

This aircraft traveled for another 4-5 seconds and then made a very abrubt course change to a westerly course from its southern course. This course change caused me at that time to lose any sight of the aircraft. It appeared to follow the Union Pacific Railroad line going west.

I called my sister inlaw who lives about 3 blocks to my west as it appeared to have changed course right over her house and asked her if she was outside smoking and did she see any object fly by. She stated she was outside at that time but did not see or hear any aircraft. She was under her patio cover so if it went over her house she would not have been able to see it.

I immediately called Luke Airforce base 556th Fighter Squadron and inquired as to whether they were currently conducting any night time operations in this area or the Barry Goldwater range about 40 miles southwest of me and the duty officer stated no, they were not currently conducting any operations in our area. Note: we sometimes see Lukes F-16 fly over us on there way to the range but it is always in the day time and not at night. I gave the duty officer a brief of what I observed and he entered it into his duty log.

I then called my local police dispatch and inquired if anybody including any of the on duty patrol officers had reported any unidentified aircraft flying over town at a low altitude in the last 15 minutes and she respinded that they have not received any other reports at that time. I gave her a quick brief of my observation.

Closing comments: I have never seen an unidentified flying object before and this is the first time I have ever made a report on one to anybody. I was not drinking and I am of sound mind. I have usually laughed about other people alleged sightings including one my brother and mother reported to me awhile back. What I saw tonight was not anything I have ever seen before and the flight capabilities were not of anything I have seen in my F-14 experience or in other military jet aircraft I have been exposed to. Its ability to make such an abrubt course change defies newton law of an object in motion stays in motion. We currently don’t have any known advance technology to effect that sort of abrupt course change. If this was infact a secret military test aircraft then I would say we have advanced significantly in our technology and have somehow been able to develope structual technology that is able to resist high G-force levels both positive and negative.

What disproves this theory to me is it takes a lot of energy to make such a turn and it requires extremely strong flight controls to force such an abrupt course change and that would have caused the aircraft to emit some level of noise and this aircraft was extremely quite. It would have caused a significant amount of stress on the airframe and on the flightcrew.

Bright starlight objects arc across the sky

While driving home early in the evening, we pulled into the parking lot of a shopping center when I immediately spotted four bright orange objects in the sky that were out of place in the area. The sky was slightly overcast with a crescent moon visible. Once we pulled into a parking space, I got out of my vehicle for a better look and observed four very bright objects (more luminous than any planet or star in the night sky but not as bright as the moon) moving across the sky from west to east. They appeared from behind trees along the western horizon and moved at a relative speed comparable to a high altitude commercial jetliner. Each light glowed with an orange tinge and, while in close proximity to each other, moved independently, with no observable structure linking them together. There was no direction change and as they appeared directly overhead, they all “fizzled” out at different times. Another witness in a darker area than us stated she could see individual structures around each light which she would compare to helicopters, but absolutely no noise was heard by anybody. I observed after their disappearance ambient glowing from each object for another several minutes before they totally disappeared, which led me to believe they may have been flares suspended from balloons but I cannot be sure.
