Multi colored object flies down toward ground then back up very fast

Entering this report for my sister:

I was driving on the road at 50th St East going toward Avenue K. I had just passed Ave L and a small house on the side of the road to my right (in the direction toward 60th). Through my peripheral vision I could see an object moving quickly toward the ground in a straight line. I turned to look at it since it caught my attention. The object was emanating many colors, I couldn’t tell what color it was exactly, it was as if it was cycling through many colors at once. There was no point from which lights were coming, the whole object was THAT color or colors all at once as it moved, it wasn’t SHINING and it didn’t project any beams of light. The object looked to be round in shape however not a sphere, more like a donut shape or a wheel but no hole in the middle or at least I couldn’t see one it moved too fast. Once it reached near the ground I lost sight of it for a split second as if it disappeared completely. Then it reappeared and moved straight back up. Not at an obvious angle like a plane or any angle I could tell. Simply straight back up. I was still moving toward the object the entire time (which was about 3 seconds). Once I saw it moving up toward the sky I tried leaning forward to look and see if I could catch it again but it was already gone. The object had only been gone for a second when my phone started beeping low battery, that scared me further. I had also heard a static noise when I first saw the object, I was talking over speaker phone and over my car’s speakers so when I heard the static it was quite noticeable. The distance from me in my car driving toward it at around 65mph to where it was is probably about a football field in length, it wasn’t very far but it wasn’t close enough that I could see many more details and it didn’t linger. It was a very scary few moments that had me terrified.

Watched blinking red lite for over an hour. The lite hovered, moved east, then hovered and moved west.

I was looking out of my bathroom window when I noticed an strange blinking red lite. I watched it as it hovered at about 4:45 over what seemed to be sunrise highway which is a 1/2 mile from my house. The lite slowly started moving east then stopped and hovered a while before slowly moving in a westerly direction yet never moving too far away. I realized early on that this lite was actually two lights and it was blinking from left to right.
I ran in to get my phone to see if I could get it on video or get some stills but was unable to see it in the view finder. I went outside to my car to get my ipod as it has a better video recorder but still couldn’t catch it. As I was outside watching this lite my food was being delivered and I showed the guy what I was looking at. He found it strange as well so I saw my neighbor and pointed it out to him and we both asked how whatever it was could be sitting up there without falling out of the sky because it wasn’t moving most of the time it was up there. I went back inside with my food and at this point I’d been watching my new friend for almost an hour. I called news 12 long island but they said there wasn’t anything they could do. I called MUFON and got the number of an investigator in NY and called him. I spoke to him while still watching this lite now slowly moving west. At around 6:05 the object was moving in a northern direction and was still visible behind the treeline in the distance about 2 miles away as it slowly moved beyond my sight.
I’ve seen many things in the skies here on long island and clearly there’s some major activity that needs immediate investigation.
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT’S BEEN FLYING THROUGH OUR SKIES!!!

Large hovering object in dark sky, 1st invisible, then lit with 3 "booster" lights from which flaming trails lit up, then "zoomed" out of sight.

12/10/11 at aprox 1AM CST seen from car driving south on Camp Cardinal Blvd in Iowa City, IA. Street was dark/not many street lights nor other cars on the road. I was driving on an incline, so my line of sight was not only looking ahead, but up at the dark sky. All of a sudden, out of nothing (blackness) overhead in the south-eastern sky, a row of 3 neon green lights appeared, that looked to be lined up evenly on the back of what I perceived to be something solid. When it first appeared, it seemed to be stationary, but after a split second, out of each of the 3 green lights, came a trail, yellow in color, that curved upwards, propelling the object up and out of sight within two more split seconds. It did not cross much of the sky, but dissapeared into nothing, just as it had appeared out of nothing. My sense was that either it was flying at “warp speed” and it just left the area too fast to register much of its departure, or it actually became invisible again, just as it must have been before the green lights had appeared. Judging from how clear I could see the detail, it could not initially have been that high in the sky. It seemed to be in the direction, from my judgement, of the IA City airport, though, though it could have been beyond the airport, and just large enough to be seen so clearly from my viewpoint.

Wanted to report this on the chance that others saw the same thing, to add to the reports credibility. If no one else reports this sighting, then it will remain a private wonder to me.

Gigantic low-flying craft on its side over Lee’s Summit, MO

Report taken by Assistant State Director today:

“I was driving North on Woods Chapel Road in Lee’s Summit while heading home from work and saw people stopped and looking up. I stopped at a stop sign and saw a huge craft with multiple green, white, and blue circlular shaped lights on the bottom of it come directly over my head. The lights were all on the bottom in a triangular shape. The size was enormous. To give you an idea for the size – it filled up the entire windshield of my car. It was moving very slowly in a North direction towards the small Lee’s Summit airport. That airport is too small for large planes to land. I see planes in the area all the time but this was not normal. A co-worker of mine saw it too. It was flying very low. At first we thought it was a large plane, but it did not look like a plane at all. After it turned towards the airport, it slowed for one minute, then contineud North, which was left of our position, and it went out of sight. I am sending a drawing to the investigator.”

Redish-orange fireball traveling from NW to SE.

I was in Saint Paul, Minnesota getting into my car when I glanced up and saw a redish-orange light/fireball flying in my direction. At first I dismissed it as a UFO because I live with a few miles of an international airport, but as the light/fireball got closer and closer, there was no noise. It flew in a perfectly straight line and after a few minutes, the light/fireball was so far away, I just couldn’t see it anymore.

Formation of 8 paired, glowing orange lights, steady but pulsating slightly

1. Where were you and what were you doing at the time?
Cascade Township park. Myself and several close friends were participating in a outdoor NERF gun war-game called ZOMB, wherein 80-150+ people engage in a “zombie apocalypse” survival game.

2. What made you first notice the object?
Our “squad” was moving along the perimeter of the park closest to I-96. My friend Jason was the first to notice the lights and point them out. We looked NE across the park to see 8 orange glowing UFOs paired off in a staggered formation about 30-40 degrees above the horizon. As we looked across the highway at the Gerald Ford International Airport we saw searchlights moving across the sky over the airport.

3. What did you think the object was when you first noticed it?
My first impression based on the pulsating glow of the objects was that of aerial flares. However the night was breezy and if the objects had indeed been flares they would have been drifting in the wind.

4. Describe the object and its actions and motions in detail.
The 8 objects remained stationary, paired off at equal distance from each other in their staggered formation. No downward fall or drift with the wind currents. The objects were completely silent. (I don’t know who else in the park that night may have noticed the phenomenon although it was clearly visible for at least 5 minutes.)

5. Describe your feelings, reactions and actions, during and after sighting the object.
I was the most excited, I kept asking everyone around me “Are you seeing this? Tell me you’re seeing this.” the sighting was verified by the 5 other people that made up our small ‘squad’ which included several of my closest friends. I was frustrated because I had brought a camera to the event but had left it locked in my car for fear of it being lost or damaged during the course of the game. (The image included is a approximation of the event superimposed on a screenshot from the Google road cam.)

6.How did you lose sight of the object?
The objects disappeared one by one over the course of 45 seconds to a minute, I personally witnessed at least two of the objects disappear as we continued moving along the perimeter of the park. By the time we came to a halt, the objects had all vanished.

21 objects moving from the NE to S. west Amber color

Traveling north on prospect. Saw objects in the distance in front of the car. Pulled over to watch. Objects moved slowly and once they passed over us they became invisible. At 10pm it was very dark out side. Looked like lights in the sky, larger than a planet. They slowly moved accross

Black orb floated along the street in front of me

I was driving and exited I-70 at the Lee’s Summit exit heading East and pulled up to the stoplight on Lee’s Summit road. My vehicle was the only one at that intersection. The light was red. Some movement in the road caught my attention- it was located to my left in the center part of the road. It was a dull black sphere about the size of a basketball or a little larger. It had no lights or windows or any features on it at all. The object was floating just a few inches above the road and moving in a straight line right along the middle of the street. It’s shadow was cast on the road from the streetlights. The object passed in front of my car at a slow rate, and kept going along the road heading south and to my right, then just disappeared. The object did not fade out, it literally disappeared and was no longer visible. I watched it for approximately one minute, which was long enough to get a good look at it. My 18-year-old son was with me riding in the passenger side of the vehicle and he saw it, too, and said, “Uh, Mom, what the heck is that?”
I’ve never seen anything like it but the first thing that I thought it could be was a UFO, however, it might have been something else entirely.

Strobing light in sky. Moved straight like plane at first, then made zig zag maneuvers. Stopped strobing, became single bright white light moving from one end of the hoizon to the other, making abrupt minor course corrections.

I was up very early soothing an infant. While lying on the couch I happened to notice what appeared to be an airliner jet pass by, which is very common for the area. I thought nothing of it at first, but then the object, which up to that point I could only make out as a series of blinking lights, abruptly started going in the opposite direction. Airplanes don’t do that, I was thinking. I then observed the object move back and forth in a zigzag manner, then started strobing like a police car flashing, but only white light. Okay, weird. Itremained stationary while puting on this display. After about what seemed like a minute it became a very bright, single point of light which proceeded to move in an apparent straight line from south to north. It quickly went out of my line of sight and I had to run to a window at the opposite side of the house. I was able to get sight of it again and watched it for about another minute until it disappeared beyond the horizon. I was never scared. On the contrary, I was fascinated.

Driving down Telegraph large triangular object starting to circle and then hover in one place. Distict non pulsating lights to make up a triangle.

We were driving down Telegraph near 94, a large triangular object with lights on three corners starting to circle in an unusual pattern. I thought it was a plane as we were 5 miles from the airport. It looked unusual to me because the lights were not flashing, it was too low in the sky and made an unusual tight turn. As I watched it came to a stop and just hovered in place. We were driving and unable to stop immediatly to watch it on a very busy road. We turned around the car arround and the object was gone.

Hoping that someone else saw this.
